Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
De Graaf Under-Car ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
De Graaf Under-Car, 239 Danie Theron Street, Pretoria North, 0182. Telephone 012 546 6660. We are the responsible party for the information you share with us through this website.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us when you make a booking or contact us:
- your name, phone number and, if you book by email, your email address;
- details about your vehicle, such as make, model, year and registration;
- the services you need, your preferred date and time, and any notes you add.
We do not use advertising trackers and we never sell your information.
How we use it
- to arrange and confirm your booking and give you a quote;
- to contact you about work on your vehicle;
- to keep basic records required for invoicing and accounting.
How your booking reaches us
If you book on WhatsApp, the website opens WhatsApp on your device with your booking filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send, and the message is then handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
If you book by email, the form is delivered to us through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), an email forwarding service. Your details pass through that service only to reach our inbox.
Third-party content
The map in our contact section is provided by Google Maps, and icons and some scripts load from public content delivery networks. These services may receive technical information such as your IP address when the page loads, under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and customer records only for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and tax obligations, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. Contact us on 012 546 6660 or visit the workshop. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and only share it with people who need it to work on your booking.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
